Training modes: guided education and hands-on evaluation
3–5
Mistakes allowed in evaluation mode before a fail
The challenge
A precise procedure that has to be learned hands-on.
Teach a precise sanitization procedure hands-on, in a place where mistakes cost nothing.
The Coca-Cola Company is a global leader in the beverage industry, with a strong focus on using new technology to improve its operations and workforce training.
Sanitization processes have to be followed exactly to maintain hygiene standards. Coca-Cola wanted employees to learn, practice and demonstrate the full workflow in a controlled, mistake-tolerant environment.
The solution
A digital twin of the sanitization room, storyboarded step by step.
VR Vision delivered a turnkey proof of concept: Quest 3 headsets and a custom VR course built from Coca-Cola's exact steps, with the tanks and sanitization tools modeled in a realistic room.
01
Education mode
Step-by-step guidance with visual highlights and narration keeps trainees on the correct workflow.
02
Evaluation mode
Trainees run the process on their own, with 3 to 5 mistakes allowed before a fail.
03
Realistic environment
A room modeled with the tanks, sanitization tools and interactive elements the job requires.
Deployment & integration
Turnkey: hardware, storyboard and course in one package.
VR Vision supplied standalone Quest 3 headsets and storyboarded the course from Coca-Cola's exact steps and workflow, so the training matches its operating standards.
01
Storyboarding
Every step mapped to Coca-Cola's exact workflow and operating standards.
02
Environment build
A room modeled with the tanks, tools and interactive elements.
03
Two training modes
Guided education with narration, then a hands-on evaluation.
04
Quest 3 hardware
Standalone headsets supplied for an immersive training experience.
Inside the simulation
Inside the virtual sanitization room.

Results & impact
A proof of concept with strong early feedback.
Final evaluations are still underway, but early feedback is clear: stakeholders found the system intuitive and easy to use, the visuals realistic, and the narration and visual cues easy to follow. The project is a first step for Coca-Cola in using VR to improve learning outcomes, safety and operational efficiency.
